Original Skannerz story
Story of Skannerz is mainly told in a form of a comic book included in a package of the original Skannerz. Some story bits are included in the game manual. You can read the comic book here.
Storyline
Story revolves around a never ending battle of three monster tribes (Zendra, Pataak and Ujalu) in a planet named Kaos. As a final solution to finally end all the fighting, Zendra tribe invents device called Skannerz controller that has a capability to store monsters in a molecular level and allow the tribe to launch a suprise attack. Homever, unknown to the Zendra leaders, spies leak their plans of the Skannerz to other tribes.
After all the tribes have created their own controller they all launch a surprise attack at the same Tongue. Activating all the controllers at the same time causes a powerful energy drawn from the core of the planet and eventually causes a explosion of planet Kaos. Right before the explosion all the devices activate at the same time and all the monsters are turned in to their molecular form and launched towards planet Earth.
In Earth, in a small town of East Bedford a nerdy boy named Andrew "Flux" Kidwell has built a Skannerz of his own unaware of how he actually have got the informations of how to build the controller. He just knows that he has a mission to capture all the monsters of the planet Kaos that are now hiding in a barcodes in their molecular form. Flux can't do it all on his own, so he needs other people to help him with his quest. Flux creates a manual that is included with a Skannerz controller and contains tips and secret hints of how to capture and battle monsters.
Tribes
The ancient Zendra were the first inhabitants of Planet Kaos. The wisest of the three tribes, they created the Skannerz project in an attempt to dominate the Pataak and Ujalu. Led fy Falco, the Zendra use their intelligence and experience to defend themselves agains the other tribes.
Physical strength and loyalty to their cause make the Pataak tribe a worthy advesary. They muscled their way into the Zendra palace with plans to use the Skannerz project to create a supreme army. Zolar is the command of this powerfull and devoted group of warriors.
The fast and tricky Ujalu are the most deceptive of the three tribes. Led by Toxiana, the Ujalu used stealth and trickery to infiltrate the Zendra palace and steal the Skannerz plans. The Ujalu find that their speed and cunning are the best defence against their enemies.
