Power

Skannerz has a voltage requirement of 4.5 V. Device uses a three 1.5 V batteries (AAA/LR03) connected in series. When Skannerz has undervoltage, it first loses it's capability to scan barcodes. Without power Skannerz will lose contents of its memory in 30 seconds.

Display

Skannerz has a monocrome LCD display with a resolution of 32x30 pixels. Bottom of the screen is also capable of displaying simple icons with (monster class, KO and poison status). It is unknown what protocol is used to communicate with the display.

Skannerz has a custom bitmap font with a variable character size up to 6x5 pixels.

Second differently styled more higher resolution font is also used to display monster names.

Speaker

Scannerz has a mono speaker capable of outputing simple sound effects and digitized sound. The speaker is 27 mm in diameter and has specification of 8 Ω 0.25 W.

MCU

Skannerz uses a unknown type of MCU that is covered with a epoxy blob on the main PCB under the display.

Input

Skannerz has eight buttons: up, down, left, right, A, B, PAN and Reset.

Barcode scanner

Skannerz also has a scanning unit that uses a pen type scanning mechanism that uses red leds and magnification lens. Scanning unit is on a separate PCB inside the case.

Miscellaneous

Skannerz has a jumper pads on the PCB that determinite what tribe the device uses. Every Skannerz can be changed to be any tribe by simply soldering these pads in right combination. Pads are marked here with a red square.

Bottom pads are connected to each other. When top left pad is connected to bottom pads, device is in Pataak mode. When top right pad is connected to bottom pads, device is in Ujalu mode. When no pads are connected, device is in Zendra mode.
