Skannerz Commander barcodes
In the Skannerz Commander only way to capture monsters or items and initiate battles is to scan barcodes. Skannerz is able to scan UPC-A and EAN-13 barcodes.
Because most of the details are same as in the original Skannerz, only exceptions are listed below. See original Skannerz from here.
Actions
Only 42 of the 126 monsters in Skannerz Commander can be captured without battle (direct scan monsters). Victorious battle is required for the rest of the monsters to capture (battle scan monsters). Only 53 of the monsters can be in your tribe at the same time. Next capture requires banishing one of the tribe's monsters to make room for the new one.Monster codes
Monsters share a digit space from 000 to 999. Almost every monster has 7 codes (for example Mysteeria has a range of 000-007). Monsters are not in order of their number but random or possibly based on an order of the cards in sheet included with a Skannerz (picture side up, from left to right and down). For almost every time when scanning a barcode, there is close to 33% chance of capturing direct capture monster 66% chance of initiating battle with battle scan monster. If any other code of the monster is scanned after capturing the monster, player will receive +1 HP increase for the monster.
Because there are 126 monsters total, the digit space of 1000 does not divide equally for every monster. MC and Angos have only four codes (992 to 995 and 996 to 999). These are the most rare monsters after Exiles.
Exiles are special case with a only one code existing for every monster. Exile codes are 11 digits long but first nine digits are Skannerz product code ("745938036") and only last two digits are unique (from 54 to 65).
Item codes
Codes of the items require the fifth digit of the code to be 6-9. This means that 40% of all the codes are items.
Items exist in the digit space of 000 to 999 (1000 possible slots). Almost all the items have 40 possible slots (for example "Spirit Link" has a range of 000 to 039). Exception to this is "Poison potion" that has 80 slots (880 to 919 and 960 to 999).
Barcode matcher
You can use the following tool to match any barcode to one of the potential actions. Just select your Skannerz tribe and type barcode. Note that the tool does not match to items that have higher priority so it can give false positives.
